Bagikan :

Makassar, January 24, 2025 – The Culinary Arts Program at Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar (Poltekpar Makassar) has officially entered into a collaboration with Ocean Cafe, Talk Space Cafe, Keizin Restaurant, and Ubi Cilembuk Makassar through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA). The event took place at the Four Points Hotel by Sheraton Makassar during the 2025 Annual Program Evaluation and Planning Meeting.
The MOU was signed by Poltekpar Makassar’s Director, Dr. Herry Rachmat Widjaja, MM.Par., CHE, alongside the restaurant managers. Following this, the MOA was signed by the Head of the Culinary Arts Program and the restaurant managers, as witnessed by Dr. Widjaja.

This collaboration aims to implement Project-Based Learning (PBL) for sixth-semester students in 2025. Students will have the unique opportunity to engage directly with industry professionals, learning best practices from each partner restaurant. These insights will serve as the foundation for designing and executing relevant projects under the mentorship of Culinary Arts Program lecturers.

As a follow-up to the MOA, an Implementation Agreement will be developed, providing a comprehensive guide for executing PBL. Students will not only hone their technical skills but also strengthen their communication, analytical, and collaborative abilities through active interactions with industry partners.
Dr. Herry Rachmat Widjaja emphasized the importance of synergy between educational institutions and the industry in producing competent graduates. “Through this partnership, students gain hands-on learning experiences directly connected to industry realities, equipping them to face the challenges of the professional world with confidence,” he stated.
This strategic collaboration is expected to produce Culinary Arts Program graduates who excel in technical expertise, demonstrate innovation, and contribute significantly to the growth of the culinary industry in Makassar and beyond.
